The Birth of a Pair
A Frank Valentia arrives at the bench as leather; it takes weeks before it leaves as a shoe. These are the three stations of that journey.

Material Standards
We use only full-grain calfskin — and accept only the top ten percent of every batch. Our hides come from Europe's most storied tanneries and are inspected one by one for suppleness, depth of colour and grain structure before they enter the atelier. Vegetable-tanned leather for the linings and Goodyear-welted construction for the soles are non-negotiable.

The Making Process
Every pair passes through more than 200 steps, from cutting to the final polish. The upper rests on the last for at least 48 hours; that is how leather finds its form. Patina is applied by hand, layer upon layer, by our masters — no two pairs are ever identical. There is no room for haste: a Frank Valentia takes three weeks on average to complete.

Quality Control
Every pair that leaves the atelier passes a 212-point checklist: from stitch density to sole symmetry, from colour consistency to the presentation inside the box. A pair that fails a single point is never offered for sale — it is corrected, or retired to the archive. We sign only what is flawless.
Hot Foil & Embossing
Our logo is applied to leather only as rose gold hot foil or blind embossing. No glossy plastic, no metal plaques — only a mark worked into the leather itself, growing more beautiful with time.
